On Sunday 8th August I made my movie debut (as an extra) in a film called 'Johnny Was'.

Imagine - a policeman gets knocked aside by a car and jumps into his police car and zooms off. I am sitting in the background on a set of steps rolling a cigarette and I have to get up and look surprised. So if you're watching the film and you see the long haired hippie in the background in a denim jacket - that's me! I also had to walk down the street for another scene and back up the street again in another. Most of the day was spent sitting about (off-set) reading, chatting to other extras and drinking endless cups of coffee, frequent food was dead on and the full Sunday roast beef dinner took our minds off the sheer boredom of sitting about all day. The bonus of course was getting paid (eventually) for sitting about - so I'd recommend it to anyone!

I have to say, having seen the same stunt performed several times, whoever cuts the film makes the stunt.
