An interesting piece of correspondence on this one - Dave sent me this e-mail Colin, in your last quiz General knowledge1 you ask for the link with Sexton Blake. Should this not have been Sherlock Holmes who did live in Baker St. Extract below for Sexton Blake from website "Blake rode a bicycle around London, rather than taking a hansom. He lived not on Baker Street but in New Inn Chambers, with his offices on Wych Street, off the Strand. And he was not a lone investigator, but was rather paired with Jules Gervaise, a French detective." ----------------------------------------------- Usually I would simply change the answer on the site and put in a thank you, but in this case (being a bit of a Sexton Blake fan) I was fairly certain I was correct - so I did some checking and found this page http://www.sextonblake.co.uk/baker_1.html The reason I mention all of this is simply to demonstrate that there may well be two or more possible answers to a question so be careful when arguing the toss with your quizzers - you may both be right! Thanks Dave for giving me something to ponder on ps - The reason I used Sexton Blake instead of Holmes was that, Holmes would have made the question much too obvious.
