Hi Colin,

I am a fellow quizmaster living in Aguadulce, Spain and I run a weekly quiz in the Aguadulce marina.

If I may I would just like to correct you one one of your question. Your question (3) is not really correct. When Trivial Pursuit was invented I had a villa in Nerja, Spain. There were 3 Canadians living in Nerja who, over almost a two year period, devised the game.

It would appear that most nights they enjoyed the odd drop or two and it was common talk in Nerja at the time that the idea had come to them whilst possibly a "little happy" in one of the many bars in Nerja that they frequented.

The 3 Canadians had apparently none, or very little money,to market their idea and used their skill to get a number of the owners of bars they frquented in Nerja to fund the initial costs of marketing this new game. The deal was that the bar owners would receive royalties from the profits once the game was launched. They and indeed nobody could have comprehended that the game would take off in the way it did and it would appear that subsequently these "small time" bar owners all became incredibly affluent

So you were correct in that the 3 "inventors" were of Canadian nationality but the game was actually invented in Nerja, Spain.
